More Aero

Now, I know how this is pronounced...Ero (roll the r, long o) would be the closest. 

We met the group for a bus tour around the island, which was beautiful! The thatched roofs are beautiful! 

This house is for rent, to see if island living here is good. Vacation homes aren’t allowed...all here must be full time. That way they retain the flavour of small town island living.



Do you see the tiny ribbon on the horizon?? Germany! Ulf thought about another conquering raid...


And even found a ship

But decided to stay. We’re glad.

Remember I said many of the houses remind me of ours? Here’s one..

Just extend the roofline and modify the windows a bit. Houses with this roofline are the norm here! Ours would fit in perfectly, except ours is cedar sided, and there isn’t any cedar here. It’s brick, then stuccoed. 1/2 timber with brick and stucco is popular, too. 

Ok...enough about our relax day, it’s time for a 5:00 tea we’ve been invited to!
