Swedish energy

Energy production is important in a country with huge heating needs. We’ve seen the areas of newer housing construction. They have those tall stacks we noticed earlier, which utilize trash for energy production. Today we learned that newer construction can be either -houses, which use more energy than they produce, 0 houses which are like our ‘net zero’, or + houses which produce more than they use. Energy comes from 45% hydroelectric, 45% nuclear, and 10% other, like solar/wind.
We also notice everywhere people produce their own energy...the ‘silent killers’ are here in abundance...next only to Amsterdam!

There is a conspicuous lack of cars on the road! Asa just talked about the long process to get a drivers licence, which includes the theory part, and a few different practical parts...driving on ice, avoiding a moose, and other relevant things. It takes a year or so to get fully licenced!
