To Kolmar part two - Gota Canal

For lunch we stopped in a very picturesque small town along the Gota Canal, which is really a wonder of Sweden.
What they don’t tell here is that it was built to transport goods from the Baltic sea inland during the period that Denmark controlled the southern peninsula, but by the time it was finished Sweden had conquered that area and it wasn’t needed! So, it became a pleasure boating paradise! Here’s two boats going through one of the locks

It’s also called ‘divorce alley’. If you can make it through all 58 locks with your marriage intact, you’re doing well!
